After bearing the heartache of losing our initial crop to merciless spring frosts we harvested the second shooting of the vines during the first two weeks of April; a full two months later than we are accustomed. Harvest is typically tended to clad in beach attire in mid-late February; this years pickings were carried out in jackets and woollen hats. When all was said and done our yields equated to a rather minute 5.7 hectolitres per hectare or 773 grams per vine. The numbers speak volumes of a season this unique so I’ve listed them below:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003eDW-OLD (0.775 Hectare)\u003cbr\u003e2 Barriques – 885 plants sown between 1888 \u0026amp; 1912 (9 rows x 95 plants)\u003cbr\u003eER-27 (1.07 Hectare)\u003cbr\u003e3 Barriques – 1170 plants from 1927 (30 rows x 39 plants)\u003cbr\u003eDW-95VSP (1.979 Hectare)\u003cbr\u003e4 Barriques – 2898 plants from 1995 (21 rows x 138 plants)\u003cbr\u003eDW-96VSP (0.868 Hectare)\u003cbr\u003e2 Barriques – 1236 plants from 1996 (12 rows x 103 plants)\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese 11 Burgundian Pièces were carefully assembled and bottled amidst the spring of 2015 after enduring an 82 week elevage.
