The Valdivieso Caballo Loco Number 13 continues the bold Chilean tradition of the Caballo Loco series, wines crafted from multi-vintage blends Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec that layer complexity and personality. Like its siblings, Number 13 draws from varied vineyards and years, resulting in a wine that’s richly expressive yet balanced and food-friendly. 

In the glass, Number 13 shows a deep, vibrant red hue. The bouquet is generous and layered, with plum, cassis and dark cherry taking centre stage, supported by hints of spice, earthy herbal notes and gentle oak. This complexity translates to the palate, where soft, mature tannins provide structure without dominating the vibrant fruit. There’s a supple feel here, the fruit feels concentrated but never heavy, with a pleasing interplay of red and dark berry flavours woven through savoury undertones.
