Voyager Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

The 2019 Voyager Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is a superb expression of Margaret River’s cool-maritime Cabernet pedigree, epitomising elegance and structural poise from one of the region’s most respected producers. Set in the southern Stevens Valley, Voyager’s estate vineyards benefit from consistent ripening conditions and meticulous vineyard care, yielding Cabernet fruit with both precision and power.

In the glass, this wine shows a deep garnet core with youthful brilliance. The nose is layered and refined, offering blackcurrant, dark plum and cassis woven with cedar, tobacco leaf and subtle graphite hints. There’s a lovely floral lift of violet and dried herbs that adds complexity without obscuring the varietal signature. On the palate, the fruit is pure and concentrated, framed by fine-grained tannins and vibrant acidity that keeps each sip lively and focused. The oak influence is judicious, contributing spice and structure rather than overshadowing the core fruit. The finish is persistent and balanced, with savoury notes of sage and subtle mocha inviting another sip.

This 2019 Cabernet is drinking beautifully now with decanting but has the spine to evolve gracefully over the next decade.
