Wynn's Michael Shiraz 2018

The 2018 Wynns Michael Shiraz is the pinnacle expression of Shiraz from Coonawarra. A wine made only in exceptional years and steeped in Australian wine lore, named after the founder’s son and rooted in a legacy that stretches back to the legendary 1955 vintage. 

In the glass, it shows a deep red-purple core that hints at both concentration and vitality. On the nose, lifted aromas of blueberries, bay leaf and subtle florals give way to layered spice and dark cherry, creating an intriguing and elegant aromatic profile.

The palate is a study in balance, restrained at first, yet unfolding with length, texture and intensity. Layers of vibrant red and black fruit are interwoven with clove, pepper and savoury herb notes, all framed by silky, finely-etched tannins.
